The Subic Metro Lanka International Corporation, with its humble origins, has experienced significant growth and diversification throughout the 1980s and 1990s, establishing a presence in Japan, Sri Lanka, Botswana, Uganda, and the Philippines.
Our history traces back to 1988 when our founder, AWM AZMAN, initiated a small venture focused on the buying and selling of vehicles. Through years of dedicated effort alongside his brother, ABDUL AZEES, and his nephews, MOHAMED HUZRIN and MOHAMED MASHAF, the Subic Metro Lanka International Corporation expanded its operations to encompass various companies involved in the motor vehicle industry across numerous countries worldwide.
In particular, an important milestone in our organization’s expansion outside Japan was the establishment of Metro Lanka International Corporation in Sri Lanka in 1998. Our company quickly became one of the largest importers of used motor vehicles in Sri Lanka, specializing in the motor vehicle trade.
In 2001, we embarked on car sales operations in Botswana under the name Narita Motors, after careful consideration and evaluation.
Furthermore, in 2014, we ventured into the truck business through our registered company, Subic Metro Lanka International Corporation. Presently, our corporation has made significant strides and is recognized as the leading importer of various types of used vehicles and trucks within the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
With over 25 years of experience in this industry, we have successfully expanded our business and achieved the anticipated growth, extending our operations from Sri Lanka to various parts of the world. We remain optimistic that this success will persist, enabling us to establish further enterprises in other regions across the globe.
